Worldwide Studios (WWS) is the game development division of Sony PlayStation. WWS studios are responsible for developing some of the most recognisable and ambitious console games and franchises on PlayStation, including Uncharted, The Last of Us, Horizon, God of War, and Gran Turismo.

We work with some of the best game studios in the world, and use data to help them make their games even better. We are looking for talented people to join us in pushing the boundaries of game analytics for PlayStation games.

You have a passion for video games and a solid background teasing out insights from data. You’re looking for a fun, dynamic environment to take on new challenges.

As a Game Data Analyst, you’ll work in our cross-disciplinary team to help game studios use data effectively to improve games. You’ll work with decision-makers to understand their goals, identify opportunities, and inform decisions about features and games across the company. Come join us, and help define and build the future of analytics for PlayStation games.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability.

We’d love to hear from you if:

- You are adept at working with people and customer behaviour data to inform decisions and improve products

- You are fluent in SQL on analytics data warehouses – We use Redshift, but experience with similar ones like Vertica, Netezza, or Postgres are fine.

- You have a strong background in Looker or a similar analytics visualisation tool like Tableau or MicroStrategy

- You have excellent communication skills, and can get your point across to game designers, producers, programmers, and executives

- You are strategic and business-savvy. You know that people don’t always know what they want, or ask for the right things. You can help them figure out what they need, and then make it happen

- You are comfortable with statistics, probability, and quantitative analysis methods

- You’re committed to quality as a top priority

- You have a track record of trying and learning new things

- Bonus points for experience in Python, R, or machine learning
