PlayStation UK is looking for an experienced Experiential Project Manager to join the London based Marketing team. The Experiential Project Manager will be responsible for delivering engaging and immersive consumer experiences centred on PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR and a diverse range of software titles, services and peripherals.

Day to Day Responsibilities Include:

Project Management

- Provide support to the Senior Events Manager across all SIE UK consumer, trade / retail and PR events. Example tasks to include:

- Agency management – support the Senior Events Manager as required and act as a point of contact for the external agency teams as directed. Escalate issues to the Senior Events Manager & Head of Comms as appropriate

- Work as an internal liaison to ensure that all assets are signed off by the Senior Events Manager, Group Marketing Manager or Head of Comms as required

- Work with agency teams to create project timelines and ensure that activity adheres to them and key milestones are met

- Work with the agency teams to ensure that all events are appropriately staffed and support teams are correctly trained across all products

- Work with internal teams to ensure that software is obtained / installed for relevant events

- Ensure that activity is delivered on time and within budget

- Be on site at events as required to ensure smooth set up and activation

Act as a PlayStation UK representative on site to advise agency teams / support staff on any issues as they arise

- Take direct ownership of specific projects, flagging issues to the Senior Events Manager as required

Logistics / Asset Management / Third Parties / Retail

- Supplier liaison for tech, production and logistics agencies to deliver the best results for the lowest costs

- Tracking of all hardware / product to, from and at SIE UK or third party events ensuring all product has been approved and financial admin adhered to

- Work with logistics agency for reporting and advising of any damaged, out-of-date or missing kit and follow appropriate process to get it replaced, upgraded, disposed of or repaired

- Asset and storage management - work with storage agency to ensure that all products are stored appropriately and their whereabouts are known at all times

- Ensure all third party content / activations are delivered in line with guidelines and third party marketing contacts are kept in the loop on any conversations for any sign-off required

- Oversee logistics agency to track loan stock reports, chase late returns, manage any appropriate recharges

- Manage hardware stock levels and flag when items are low and need purchasing

- Fulfilment solutions - look for logistical solutions regarding freight and distribution management

- Oversee and sign off logistics schedules for rigs and de-rigs

- Work with external agencies to ensure that instore hardware / furniture is installed and maintained at retail


- Build a strong relationship with the Senior Events Manager and agree format for regular updates on key activity

- Build a strong and collaborative relationship with the European Events team and ensure that they are kept in the loop on activity and approvals are sought as required

- Build honest and collaborative relationships with the external agencies and suppliers

- Foster strong relationships across all departments and look to support / provide events counsel where possible

- Work with the Senior Events Manager to build strong relationships with internal marketing and sales leads supporting on retailer / trade events as required

- Work with the Head of Comms / PR team to ensure that any event communications are signed off in advance

- Work with the Head of Comms / PlayStation Access / Marketing to ensure that events are amplified on owned channels as appropriate

Measurement & Evaluation

- Ensure that you are clear on all activity KPIs (for both first and third party activity) as set by the Senior Events Manager / Head of Comms / Group Marketing Managers and work with the agency teams to deliver them

- Work with the external agencies to ensure that comprehensive evaluations are completed at the end of every first & third party event, capturing any learnings, insights and consumer feedback

Budget Management

- Budgets will be defined by the Head of Comms / Senior Event Manager / Group Marketing Managers but key to the role will be ensuring that all activity is delivered within budget and that financial admin (e.g. raising of POs, processing of invoices, tracking of third party costs) is done efficiently and on time

Job Requirements

- Able to think through problems to find appropriate solutions, challenge established work practices and costs for the betterment of departmental performance

- Experience managing consumer facing events

- Agency or supplier management experience

- Advanced organisation skills, time management, and close attention to detail in order to prioritise and organise a very varied work schedule

- Proven skills in creative thinking

- Self-starter – highly motivated individual to keep pace in a busy office but also able to escalate any issues as and when relevant

- Team player – broad level of involvement across many marketing areas and many other functions. Works as part of the team to ensure all experiential activity is of a high quality, honours the PlayStation brand values, and follows the brand, legal, and event guidelines

- Computer Literate – experience of major business applications e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Communicative – strong written, oral and interpersonal skills Considers and shares best practice on all forms of experiential activations e.g. ticketing mechanics, social amplification, engagement, event builds etc.

- Willingness to travel and work out of traditional 9-5 hours

- Collaboration – ability to work fluidly and effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders etc


- Experiential experience within gaming, tech or entertainment

- Knowledge of and experience within the events industry (event production, logistics and technology) and time spent on site managing build, tech, lighting, logistics and de-rig crews

- Commercial outlook - always looking to work to bring events in under budget, consider value exchanges, and challenge costs

- Passion for and knowledge of the PlayStation brand and gaming in general
