Working at SCEE
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), based in London, is responsible for the distribution, marketing and sales of PlayStation ®3, PlayStation ® 2, PSP ™ (PlayStation ® Portable) and PlayStation ® Network software and hardware in 99 territories across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania. SCEE also develops, publishes, markets and distributes entertainment software for these platforms, as well as managing the third party licensing programs in these territories.
PlayStation 3 launched throughout the SCEE territories on 23rd March 2007 and has gone on to sell at a record speed. Much of this success can be attributed to the hugely successful 1st Party titles including Killzone 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, LittleBigPlanet, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, InFamous, Eyepet and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, all created internally by our Worldwide Studios, specifically for PS3. Innovation has always been key to the success of PS3 and that continues to be seen with the launch of PlayStation®Move and 3D gaming.
PlayStation 2 has maintained its position as one of the most successful consumer electronic products in history. Since launching in 2000, PlayStation 2 has revolutionised console gaming, introducing people to a vast catalogue of thousands of games.
Since its launch at the end of 2004, millions of PSPs have been sold throughout the SCEE countries, highlighting the importance of the portable entertainment market. With the introduction of innovative new games such as InviZimals and ModNation Racers, as well as Minis and the video delivery service, PSP has continued to be invaluable to gamers on the move.
