We’re looking for someone to participate in the design, development and implementation of new specialised online features and services for first party studios across Europe, as well as providing expert advice on general online best practices and coming up with new ideas on how to enrich the online experience for our titles. We want someone to come up with innovative solutions in the online space and to be able to deliver them swiftly and professionally.

The work will require interfacing with diverse groups, on various parts of the organisation, as well as the purely technical aspect.

The ideal candidate will be quick and eager to learn new things. We want someone who loves problem solving; with a sharp mind and a professional, committed attitude. We also expect developers to have a pragmatic approach to engineering problems and to be able to adjust to non-technical requirements and constraints.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C and C++.

• Ability to work concurrently on various projects.

• Quick learning and a proactive, can-do attitude.

• Attention to detail and good debugging skills.

• Good communication skills, being able to explain technicalities to a broad range of possible audiences.

• Keen interest in video games.

Additional skills

• Console games industry experience, preferably with Playstation formats.

• Low level network programming experience or at least an understanding of TCP/IP.

• UNIX experience, preferably as a developer as well as a user.

• An understanding of x86 assembly. Bonus for ARM and CELL as well.

• Additional interest in other areas of the business, such as graphics, AI, etc.

• Experience with embedded and scripting languages.

• Information security awareness.

In closing

We need a creative thinker who is driven, enthusiastic and determined to get the best results for the game teams we deal with, someone who is able to work with as little supervision as possible and able to provide expert solutions quickly.

The candidate should also be able to communicate effectively and in a friendly manner on both informal and a formal basis with game teams, middleware providers and production IT personnel.
